This second Ravenous short story was a much better read than my first attempt, luckily.
This is apparently a prequel to a series I might actually be interested in following further.
The story is well written and has well placed hints at how the story will progress, but nothing to obvious. A lot of time is spent on building the back story and characters and not just getting the main characters naked and breathing heavy.
There were a few grammatical issues, and added word here and there, and the always present incorrectly spelled word or two.
"How do I reconnect with the woman willing to kiss a practical strange?"
The biggest issue was the mix up of the main character's name, (oops!), which in real life most likely would have caused a hell of a big hoopla.
Close to the end of the story things go wild and become completely unrealistic. I was kind of disappointed. As in most short stories the flow and control that is so cautiously created at the beginning is lost in the huge rush to find the ending.
I would like to see what the author could do when given the full length of a novel to work with. I do also hope however that she has a careful editor available to comb through all the details.
